Dr. George Walters-Sleyon is an educator, author, and artist, and academic coach. He earned his PhD from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland/United Kingdom and his MDiv. and S.T.M. from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Walters is presently an Adjunct Professor at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston and a Distinguish McDonald Fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University. He is the author of "Locked Up and Locked Down Multitude Lingers in Limbo: Revised Edition," and recently the author of "Nuggets From The Night: An Anthology of Poetic Expressions." Dr. Walters is also the founder of the non-profit: The Center for Church and Prison, Inc.-a, a resource and research center (www.churchandprison.org). Besides his academic interests, he is a gospel recording artist with three albums: "I Believe," "Hold On You Will Survive," and "Beyond the Blues." He leads and teaches on "holistic worship."
